(Theme 2) Let's talk about 'texting and social media'

1. Do you prefer to text or talk on the phone ? why ?

 

First of all, I think talking on the phone would be convenient. Especially I make less effort and express my opioion. In the other hand, It is inconvenient to text on the phone and typying might be cumbersome

 

2. How often do you check new notifications on your phone ?

 

I live by looking at my smartphone all day long. I frequently check my notification but I realize I would waste my energy and time. Sometimes I've turned off notification for most of the apps

 

3. How many Kakao messages / SNS do you send a day on average ? How many of them are really important ?

 

I send twenty messages a day on average. I make a few contents and send them at 7 o'clock

 

4. How often are you on the phone ?

 

Maybe I make five phone calls. In general, they are personal calls and there are some unnecessary calls here

 

5. What textese do you use for example LOL, FYI ?

 

I know the textese is ASAP. I think the introduction backgroud might be economic, efficient and convenient, likewise, we have a lot of abbreviated subjects

 

6. How do you feel when a friend doesn't reply to your message immediately ?

 

At first, When a friend didn't reply to my message immediately, I felt upset about it but it all depends such as being busy, eating, driving, What is important is not to get him wrong. For me I try to respond to other's message right now. It is my respect

 

7. What are some good points about using social media ?

 

I am mainly on facebook. I meet a lot of friends with the same value even though we don't have to meet each other. We would exchange a variety of opinion if we shared a various value about the world. 

 

8. What kind of information are you comfortable releasing to the public ?

 

For me, It's ok to share social issue and humanities value. You'd better not release political opinion and religious value. They trigger much arguments. Take care of it

 

9. Why can social media be addictive ?

 

In my opinion, visual image or video could be much more addictive than literal image. I watch Utube or Ttalk as I don't know the track of time which is going by. If I watch charater, I don't see it a little long time because of my eye's fatigue

 

10. Do you think smart phones are necessary ? why or why not ?

 

I think smartphone would be very useful for morden people. There are a lot of worthy information in the smart phone. It's always easy to get it. In addition, I can get a video call from a friend who is far away. It could also be easy and convenient to get a useful information of car flow during traffic jam. I think smart phone could be a necessity of morden people
